Born in Tasmania Greg Joined the Royal Australian Navy at the tender age of 16 where he became a helicopter technician and search and rescue diver (SAR). At the age of 23 Greg returned to civilian life and the search of a new adventure.
An avid sailor Greg also did about 30,000 miles of single handed sailing from New Zealand to Australia, Down the west coast of the Americas and into the Caribbean.
With a need for funds he started working as an engineer on ocean going tugs and studying for his captains license eventually entering the private yacht industry where he was captain on large Mega Yachts, Dive charter boats in the Red Sea and expedition vessels.
After leaving his last expedition vessel Greg travelled to the Amazon River where he built a 40 foot river boat and started taking photographers into the jungle.
Being at sea gave him ample opportunity to enjoy his passion for photography and diving and he worked extensively to perfect his skills.
Greg says : To me a photograph is a means of returning to the excitement of the moment that I took that image. I get to enjoy it repeatedly with the added bonus of being able to share with friends.
